Churches
Poellinger Inc.’s involvement with the building, remodeling and repair of religious facilities began in 1962,
when John A. Poellinger was one of few local contractors to build the St. Joseph the Workman Cathedral.
Since then, Poellinger Inc. has been proud to help build, remodel and repair hundreds of churches.
Recent church projects include:
- The La Crosse Tribune recently featured Poellinger Inc.'s renovation of the bell tower of Christ Eposcopal Church on the 9th & Main Streets in La Crosse, WI. Constructed in the late 1890's in a Romanesque Revival style, the church's load-bearing, limestone columns have eroded over time from exposure to ice and other elements. Working from scaffold over 70 feet high, Poellinger Inc.'s skilled craftsmen are replacing the columns with steel-reinforced synthetic stone that will remain stable and will match the rest of the building in appearance.
