Poellinger Inc. is proud to be a Lifetime Member of the Association of the Wall & Ceiling Industry. Mike Poellinger is active in the Association, having served as AWCI President in 2000-01 and as current President of the Foundation of Wall and Ceiling Industry.
Poellinger Inc. is one of the first in the nation and one of only four contractors in Wisconsin to achieve EIFSmart Contractor certification. The EIFSmart Contractor seal is earned by companies that show their commitment to quality EIFS (Exterior Insulation Finish Systems) installations. This is accomplished with standardized instruction and AWCI certification of at least 40% percent of their EIFS installers. The EIFSmart Contractor Seal is a requirement in some specifications as well as by certain manufacturers offering extended product warranties.
Mike and his leadership staff have been certified for EIFS, STUCCO & STEEL Doing It Right training and certification programs which Mike helped to create through his active involvement with AWCI.
Mike also serves on the Board of Responsible Solutions to Mold Coalition, a industry group devoted to educating the public and the building industry about effective ways to combat mold in residential and commercial construction.
Poellinger Inc. was featured in a 1995 issue of “Construction Dimensions”, an industry magazine from the Association of Wall & Ceiling Industries. Poellinger Inc.’s creativity and commitment to the customer saved a hotel $250,000 in potential lost revenue by repairing the water-damaged building without taking the guest rooms out of commission. Poellinger Inc. is certified by the Wisconsin and Minnesota Departments of Health to install lead-lined gypsum board, and staff are trained in removing and abating contaminants on construction jobs.
